Hal Gordon graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas in 1975, one year early, and then received his law degree from the University of Texas in 1978. Mr. Gordon has been involved in property tax matters for over 36 years, most importantly protesting values on behalf of commercial and industrial property owners; but also representing Plaintiffs and Defendants in delinquent tax lawsuits. His representation includes filing protests with the Harris County Appraisal District, appearing on behalf of property owners at informal hearings and before the Harris County Appraisal Review Board, and filing property tax lawsuits in District Court. If you already have a tax agent, Mr. Gordon regularly and willingly cooperates with agents to help ensure the greatest reduction possible for you. Mr. Gordon works on a contingency fee basis. For large assets, Mr. Gordon will consider capping his fee.
Recently, Mr. Gordon won at the trial court level a lawsuit which will impact the property tax system for the betterment of taxpayers across Texas. Mr. Gordon was also voted by his peers as a Top Lawyer – 2016, in Houston.
